I am an absolute novice. I can't find a menu item to save my life on this device. I can't even trigger the menus to come up.

Can someone give me a step-by-step to get to the menu item that changes the timeout delay? M's iPhone times out in a few seconds and she hates it but can't figure out how to change it because she has no idea what the concept of settings on the device and will not learn.

So from the point of swiping or pressing or finding an icon get me to that damn menu and tell me how to get back and forth.

Or point me to an iPhone tutorial which I will suffer through.
