It will be odd even for this rude colonial septuagenarian to enter the post-Elizabethan era (I’m thinking, incidentally, that her successor will style himself George VII rather than Charles III*), since, like everyone else here with the exception of Alex and Ashton, I cannot remember any earlier reign.
