Welcome to IWETHEY!

New wife walks into a general store and asks where do they have safety pins
gorm takes her over to the fasteer aisle where they keep the screws nuts and bolts. She tries to describe a saftey pin and gets blank looks. Find an old fart employee, shows her right away where they keep them.

ffs they dont know about safety pins?

New They are known by other names.
Such as "fabric pin", "quilting pin" or "diaper pin". Which probably tells you that they are more likely to be found in the haberdashery and baby needs sections rather than the regular fasteners or stationery supplies.

Wade.
New Kids nowadays; lawn, geroff, etc. Should she have tried something like...
..."Just like a brooch fastener, only without the brooch."?
