Anyone who can access a gun and go kill 20 people could probably access a car and drive into a bus stop. Similar outcome.

But that doesn't happen. Because we haven't fetishized car violence the way we have gun violence.

So okay, Ted, the gun wasn't the problem. What was? And what are you doing about that? Oh, nothing at all? That's what I thought.

Doesn't mean we still shouldn't have better gun laws.

New Ted Cruz is a worthless pile of shit.
The only reason I don't hope for him to develop pancreatic cancer and die slowly in agonizing pain over a couple years is because we need his lot to go away a lot quicker than that, so I'll take him and his ilk all dying from heart attacks. Still fucking hurts, just a lot quicker.

That could (maybe) happen, but:
  1. That wasn't the subject; the subject was gun violence.
  2. He has no proof such a transfer would take place. Brits aren't killing each other with cars all the time since their guns were taken away after Lockerbie.

We're actually famously good at not killing each other with cars. I think some of the Scandihoovian nations may have better road safety than us, but that's about it.

In fact, we're pretty good at not killing each other, full stop. London (in particular; other large cities like Birmingham and Manchester are also included) does have a knife problem, though. But, as we've seen in the US, we can handwave away young black people killing each other as "just gang trouble".
