New why airbnb??
As a customer/consumer I have had much better service and experience with vrbo.com. Just curious

New Unfortunately, AirBnB is the one with mindshare.
That's why HomeAway changed their name to Vrbo, which was already their flagship website. But a lot of people list on both.

Disclaimer: I work for Expedia, who bought Vrbo a few years ago. I used to work for Vrbo, too, after they bought Stayz. :-)

New Doesn't matter, they won't rent to me.
I got a reservation on Airbnb about 6 months ago. It was in prep of me wandering this area to look at the lands and go buy a house. I was prepping to drive a bunch and then land in an Airbnb and then possibly camp for a month as everything settled down. And then f****** Airbnb canceled me.

I am a felon and they figured it out so they tossed me aside. As the guy trying to rent a place that sucked but as someone who might want to rent a place via Airbnb or any other service that was pretty good.

I am currently reconfiguring my house to allow it to be airbnbied. This has become a verb.

So anyway, they provide a service. I've used them on the client side via my wife as we went from place to place before we finally landed here. I have used Airbnb a lot. I have moved a lot. I have no need to ever use them as a client, but I will now use them as a host and I will use the other services as well.
