New Shame we can’t tempt de Sitter back here
He insists that he knows where JWST ought to look in order to verify DSL’s cosmology (which I am not remotely competent to evaluate), putting paid to all of this “black hole” and “big bang” nonsense.

cordially,
New I do wonder...
...how he'd explain the photographs we've taken OF black holes...
Ceterum autem censeo pars Republican esse delendam.
New He’s rather certain
…that he’s right and most astrophysicists wrong, so I suspect he could explain away the images as being misinterpretations.

Again, I’m not remotely competent to evaluate the contending claims, although I suspect that DRL’s model might have attracted a few more champions had it been more persuasive.

cordially,
New Point of order
We haven't taken any pictures of black holes.

We have taken pictures of related phenomena such as highly-energetic accretion discs which strongly imply the presence of black holes.
New Yeah, what those accretion discs show stuff falling into may well be astrophysicist egos.

Indeed. It's very well done. -NT - (Another Scott) - (1)
And how things are really progressing - (scoenye)
So far, so good! But, there are hundreds of steps before it's operational. -NT - (a6l6e6x)
And it looks like a telescope! Woot! -NT - (scoenye) - (2)
             Great progress! -NT - (a6l6e6x)
I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS! -NT - (InThane)

Yeah, what those accretion discs show stuff falling into may well be astrophysicist egos. -NT - (CRConrad)

Sufficiently advanced so as to be indistinguishable from magic.
