He insists that he knows where JWST ought to look in order to verify DSL’s cosmology (which I am not remotely competent to evaluate), putting paid to all of this “black hole” and “big bang” nonsense.

He’s rather certain
…that he’s right and most astrophysicists wrong, so I suspect he could explain away the images as being misinterpretations.
Again, I’m not remotely competent to evaluate the contending claims, although I suspect that DRL’s model might have attracted a few more champions had it been more persuasive.

Point of order
We haven't taken any pictures of black holes.
We have taken pictures of related phenomena such as highly-energetic accretion discs which strongly imply the presence of black holes.
