New That's funny, but wrong historically.
Common English is mostly Germanic and Latin (i.e. really French version) was introduced and added to English after 1066 and William the Conqueror.

Vikings used another variation of Germanic and were no longer identified as Vikings before 1066.

And all these languages evolved from Indo-European languages.
