Truck story:

My brother used to have a VW bus, very light,
with a very large wind profile.

He'd tailgate a truck SO CLOSE ...

"How close was it!?"

That the driver could not see him.
We'd be between 3 and 6 feet away, continously.

The truck would suck us along.

I think we made it from S. Jersey to Saratoga
Springs NY (where my sister went to college)
on about 2 dollars of gas.

Add to the fact we spent the gas savings on weed
and PCP, it's amazing we survived.

Not while driving.
Weed yes, PCP not.

Mostly.

One time we got caught in an ice
storm, coming home, just before dawn.

PCPed out of our mind.

There were multiple days worth of accumulated
packed ice on the road (suburban development).

The heater was broken, we tried to use a little
propane heater but it didn't really work, was too
cold.

The van windshied was FILTHY.

And the sun rose, hit the filthy windshield,
and turned it opaque.

That was a close call, since I think we drove
for another 20 seconds before we realized we
were blind.
