France are a mercurial side. They can beat anyone, but you never know which French side is going to turn up - the team that's gonna fuck you right up, or the team that doesn't know what rugby even is, and is mentally smoking gitanes and drinking coffee on the Champs-Elysees.

Ireland have been meh for years. They've got some standout players, like Stander and Sexton, but there's a lot of average there, especially the backs. New scrum half looks decent tho.

France holding their nerve in the last few mins of yesterday's game, not giving away a penalty during what must have been two dozen phases of Irish possession, and then winning the turnover at the death - that was absolutely world-class.
