Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.
New Umm ...
"This was a coordinated attack by the tech giants to kill competition in the market place," he wrote on Parler. "We were too successful too fast."

What market place* is it that Parler is competing with Amazon? I believe Parler is their customer, not their competitor.

*PS: Don't most native speakers know that's a single word "marketplace"?

New The Press.
Lenin said that if you own the press, you own the people. One effect of the Internet making it possible for anyone and everyone to own "the press" is a deep sorrow I have that Trotsky is not still alive. If he were, he'd immediately see that the doubts he began to have near the end of his life concerning the possibility of the Proletariat being capable of self-rule were entirely spot on. It's also a pity that Engels, who rather famously encouraged Communists the world over to look to the United States as an example of how well self-government could work isn't still around to see exactly how true was that example.
