Welcome to IWETHEY!

New I don't need https
I have no commerce on the site. Right after my service enabled https, most traffic was diverted to it, but then it tapered off and https now gets a tiny fraction of the visits.

Also, I don't know how to turn off http and divert to https - so since I don't need it, why bother.
New If you care about page rank
Google is now penalizing sites that aren't https.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.
New That is a good point - but . . .
. . the site is intensely international, and I understand there are parts of the world that do not allow their people to have encryption at all.
New I'm not aware of any country that blocks https
Oppressive regimes block sites and IP ranges, sure, but the web runs on https now.
