New What ports to open for IRC?
Ever since I dropped this Mandrake box (Mandrake Secure? 7.3?) between my network and the internet, I haven't been able to IRC. Connection never gets established.

What port am I missing?

New 6667, usually.
But some servers use something else in that decade; 6660 is a common alternative.

Also - IRC servers often want to run ident against your connection. I had my firewall reject ident connects instead of ignoring it for that reason.
