I use a Chromecast on my TV from my phone for screen mirroring. It also throws the audio. I rarely ever type anything, using voice dictate.

This works fine in almost all applications. It is working right now in the web browser.

But: Voice dictate does not work in the text messaging application when I am screencasting to the TV. If I disable the screencasting voice dictate works fine.

When I hit the microphone button it goes into voice accept mode but nothing happens when I speak. It is as if the microphone is turned off.

Any ideas?
