New Another small fiction: “Mr. Know-All”
Set a century ago; by W. Somerset Maugham, rendered in glorious ecumenical PDF for your enjoyment here. I am a river to my people.

cordially,
New *cough* Indeed.
Right up there with "The Verger". It's near impossible to read his wry tales without an Aha! in the mix.
Isn't it lovely when ..a seeming-Pecksniff silently demonstrates cuth + heart?

(The two volumes reside on the unmarked shelf, 'for reading when': 'Murica seems -just now- Irredeemable, via any known process as comes to mind).
New Excellent.
Maugham certainly could write an excellent tale. I really enjoyed "Of Human Bondage" years ago.

Thanks very much. A great little story.

Cheers,
Scott.
New You rang... What, me "a fiction"? Oh, not me. Good.
Hey, cool story -- thanks! Hm, may have to look into this Maugham fellow.
