Trump defended the Kenosha gunman and claimed that the 17-year-old acted in self-defense. Trump said Kyle Rittenhouse, who is charged with killing two people in Wisconsin, was trying to get away and would have been killed by protesters if he hadn’t shot them. “He was trying to get away from them,” Trump said. “And then he fell and then they very violently attacked him. I guess he was in very big trouble.” Trump added: “He probably would have been killed.” Rittenhouse has been charged as an adult with two counts of first-degree homicide and one count of attempted homicide.
