I'm working at Distributed Compute Labs: https://portal.distributed.computer. We're developing a distributed grid architecture machine that uses Javascript as its machine language. It's being targeted for science mostly, but is completely accessible for anyone that needs to do big number crunching so long as its highly parallelisable. Part of what I'm doing there is dealing with setting up our system to soak up excess CPU/GPU capacity in data centres.
