New Look good!
Reminds me of Boston Baked beans which is a bit more complicated and very tasty.

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

-- Isaac Asimov
New Beans soaked overnight, then cooked 5 hours?
They'll be mush - unless they've been stored 5 years by a prepper, then they'll still be hard as rocks.
New not mushy at all, just like they came out of a can, prolly you like them crisper
that is the first time that I have cooked beans that didnt involve a tomato or a pepper, surprised they turned out so good
