Interesting story. I'm of two minds.
On the one hand the anti-First Amendment implications are clear. Yet, OTOH, Section 230 has allowed grifters like Zuckerberg to profit from actual Fake News whilst avoiding any responsibility for the damage arising from it. I'm inclined to believe we ought to be able to seize all of his assets for enabling the Russians to rat fuck our presidential election in 2016. bcnu, Mikem It's mourning in America again. |

The problem is people
Intent should matter, but as soon as you allow discretion it goes pear-shaped. Zuck had to know his platform was making money off of clearly illegal activities, but it was benefiting those in power. The Backpage guys seemed to be trying pretty hard to weed out child abuse while still allowing consenting adult sex work, but consensual sex offends those in power. Either way someone gets screwed, and it never favors the less powerful. -- Drew |

Delete your account. There is nothing on that platform worth having that you cannot get using a completely fictional identity. |
