Now, the Jewish Diaspora was a bunch of disposessed people who believed they got kicked out because God was punishing them, and therefore it was all their fault. AFAIK, they weren't exactly known for acts of terrorism in their time, rather just wandering around and asking God why He hated them so much. Muslim extremists, OTOH, have a penchant for blowing stuff up. Lock 'em up in their own countries, not so bad. Blow up their countries, and suddenly they'll all be migrating all over the world - and blowing shit up in the countries they end up in. And the fact that the Middle-East has about 30,285,000 sq miles 30,285,000/90 = 336,500 ICBMs Hmmm, that's an huge amount of missile and money... I know that against the USSR we were going to maximize damage to military targets and leave most civilian targets alone (except, perhaps, for military/civilian targets like Moscow), but this is a different situation. Famous last RPG quotes: "I'll just shoot this fireball down the dungeon passageway..."
