but over the years I've found that movie dialogue has been getting harder and harder to hear. Not to mention the major increase in volume when special effects like explosions are occurring. It's something that the late Roger Ebert, film critic of the Chicago Sun-Times, wrote about I don't know how many years ago.
At least at home I can raise the volume when I want to hear actors talking, and drop it when the special effects start going BOOM.
