-24C here, and that's not counting the windchill.
The car is not happy at all.

Anybody making cheap/foam shelters for local ferals?
Lots of critters shall die. But.. one living-one-at-a-time, eh?
Button up..

We have an insulated shelter on our deck
Complete with shingled roof. :-)
The last of our semi-ferals died 2 years ago though and I haven't seen any others in the neighborhood since then.

Re: "The car is not happy at all."
Had to disconnect battery and put it in a sink full of hot water back when I lived in Upstate NY. Not totally immersed, of course.

The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

Lots of us did
That's how I discovered my new employer is annoyingly good at security.
The work laptop is of course years newer than my home beater.* Nicer display and *much* better speakers. For my lunch break I disconnected the VPN so I could watch some Netflix.
It kept trying to reconnect the VPN. I confirmed I can work offline if I disable the WiFi, but if there's a net connection it forces VPN.
* As long as employers keep issuing me hardware I find it hard to justify the expense to replace something that's still good enough for web browsing and photo processing.

The second day.
After the check engine light went on during the drive home.
