Gasoline here in Los Angeles is around $3.59 / gal.
I remember, back when I first started driving (circ 1961) I though $0.39 /gal was somehow too low. Indeed it was, the low cost introduction to establish the addiction.

I recall $0.189/gal for Gulftane in 1963 in Watertown, MA (near Boston). Naturally, there was a local price war! :)
Gulftane was a sub-regular octane fuel that worked fine in my VW bug.

I think it's AU$1.60/litre here at the moment.
Not sure; I fill up about once in 6 weeks.
I think that would be about US$4.40/gallon. Yes, the US has cheap petrol.
