Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Sooner or later, everyone becomes...
...a traitor to himself and his own values.
   Christian R. Conrad
Of course, who am I to point fingers? I'm in the "Information Technology" business, prima facia evidence that there's bats in the bell tower.

New Re: Sooner or later, everyone becomes...
Yup.

I made the deal with the devil.

I looked at my kids, and thought, it
it REALLY worth it to get fired over sandals?

During a peaking economy, it wouldn't have
mattered. I'd get another job in a few weeks.

But now, it is too dangerous.

So I wear almost real shoes (lots of
ventilation), and get dressed up for
client meetings.

I've made a point to be replacable. Being
promotable also means being fireable. It
goes both ways. And while I may perform
SO well that it would be foolish to fire
me over dress, it still may make business
sense if I am a bad example. And in
this case, a bad example is someone that
others point to and say: Why should I
listen to you (the boss), he doesn't (me).

Of course, I still take the shoes off and
walk around in my socks!
New Corp. 'life' appears to be a lot like
Military School ie. a lot like uniform-ity.

Oh well..

You've become management!

Don't look at your hair in the mirror...

:-P

New Close
I'm a management tool.

I respect good management, and
actively seek to (hmmm) neutralize
bad management. I attempt to accept
that which I don't understand, and
wait out the assholes.

So far I've dealt with the major
reorgs and came out ahead of the game,
and see a future of more upheavals.

I am IN the system, so I have to work
with it.
New BTW, random *poke*
July 6.

(Too bad you miss Damian tomorrow.)

Cheers,
Ben
