Word has it that many companies are using 2-3 month contracts to see whether they like you and if you are productive enough for them to keep around. If not, there is no major commitment for them. If so, you get offered a long term contract/perm arrangement after the 2-3 months. I have 2 friends right now who are working on 3 month contract arrangements with the promise of being offered something long term if all goes well. Kinda like a probationary period. It also lets companies cut quickly if revenues decline. Go for the contract work....then....knock their socks off! :) Best of luck!

Avoid late timesheets or anything that can give them an excuse to hold back paychecks. ________________ oop.ismad.com
