New who said national security is better left to HRC?
always look out for number one and don't step in number two
New Do you mean a cruise missle wouldn't do it?
Alex

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

-- Isaac Asimov
New Can you quote me the part where she said *anything*?

New More words
From TFA:
Clinton aims to 'get Assad out of Syria' - potentially causing more chaos in Middle East

US PRESIDENTIAL candidate Hilary Clinton has indicated her first task as president will be to remove Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from office.
Wow, she indicated that? When?
The former US secretary of state who has been scorched over her Middle Eastern policy says a "full review" of the issue will be the "first key task" of her presidency.
Oh, so a full review of the issue will be the first task.
Now Jeremy Bash who worked for 68-year-old Mrs Clinton during her time in President Barack Obama's administration said she is steadfast in her plans to up America's involvement.

...

"I predict that a Syria policy review will be one of the first items of business for the national security team."
Oh, so a former employee has stated his prediction that a review will be one of the first items of business for the national security team.

The more specific the article gets about who actually said what, the less it looks like what the headline said.

Since you just posted the link, can I assume whatever point you thought you were making was to support this bullshit?

Drew
New They count on few reading beyond the headline. Thanks for saving us the trouble!
New Re: More words, can you quote me clearly stating she explicitely said that?
Since you are searching the media hasystack for a strawman so diligently you might want to look at what I stated about the link
always look out for number one and don't step in number two
New That you didn't think it was a good idea to leave it to her
Did I miss any words?

Drew
New correct, nothing more nothing less
always look out for number one and don't step in number two
New How does the article support that point?
--

Drew
New How does the article not support that point?
always look out for number one and don't step in number two
New "How does the article support / not support that point?"
Would that ambiguity suggest it is irrelevant to the point?
New I got this one
A former aide says that when she takes office she will have her national security team review our Syria policy.

Oh, the horror.

Drew
New we know how she handled libya so would assume that a knife in the orifice is ready for assad
unless you are going to trot out the soddit defense

The Truth About Clinton’s Record In Syria

Hillary Clinton has consistently favored an assertive approach in Syria.

As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton took a forceful position toward Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s ruthless regime. And she has consistently looked for ways to aid the Syrian people, who have been subject for too long to Assad’s callous rule. Take a look at her record:

In 2012, before the rise of ISIS further complicated the situation in Syria, Clinton strongly urged President Obama to arm moderate rebels in support of the eventual removal of the brutal Assad regime.

As Secretary of State, Clinton lambasted China, Russia and Iran for backing Assad, despite his nefarious behavior, purely because “he does their bidding.”

After Assad used chemical weapons on his own people, Clinton publicly backed Obama’s call for targeted airstrikes as he sought Congressional approval.

Hillary Clinton has called for the United States to show leadership by doing our part in taking in vetting and accepting Syrian refugees.

Clinton has laid out a comprehensive plan for destroying ISIS in Syria and beyond. Among other things, in laying out her plan, Clinton called for:

* Working with our coalition partners to conduct more intense and effective air strikes; to ramp up intelligence efforts; to provide additional support to Kurdish and Sunni rebel forces on the ground; to create sustained pressure on the Iraqi government to get its own house in order.

* Instituting a coalition no-fly zone in the air coupled with safe zones on the ground for the Syrian people, stems the refugee flow, and creates leverage and momentum for a diplomatic solution that removes Assad and brings Syria’s communities together to fight ISIS.

* Pressing Congress to pass a new AUMF that makes our commitment to winning this fight clear.

* Making sure that the Saudis, Qataris, other Arab partners, and the Turks understand they have to do their part, and Russia and Iran recognize that propping up a brutal dictator with no legitimacy will never bring stability.

* And she made absolutely clear that she would not send American combat troops back into another costly ground war in the Middle East.

I haven't heard her say anything about NoFly Zones in months. Given the fact that it would depend on access to Incirlik - which was locked down by Erdoğan, and given Erdoğan gutting of the Turkish officer and intelligence corps, civil, and professional society in his attempt to crush all real and imagined opposition, and give Erdoğan's extreme hatred of everything potentially related to the Kurds, there's no chance of a NoFly Zone in Syria even if Hillary still thought that was the way to go. And I'm not convinced she does still think that.

She's smart enough to review policies and options as circumstances change. I have no doubt she will do so.

Donnie? He said he wants 20-30,000 US troops fighting Daesh in Syria.

Cheers,
Scott.
New Of course you haven't heard anything about NFZ's in months.
She's trying to win an election.

I don't know if you saw the video of Gaddafi's execution or not, but here's your gal Hillary on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtH7iv4ip1U
