New dem primary turnout down
By contrast, Democrats’ turnout has tumbled from its 2008 records in all three contests, including Saturday’s caucuses in Nevada. About 80,000 voters took part in the caucuses, with was 33 percent less than 2008’s level. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/feb/21/gop-sets-another-turnout-record-democrats-numbers-/
always look out for number one and don't step in number two
New I'm not surprised, really.
2008 was the first woman with a real chance against the first African American with a real chance. It was historic.

Now, there's the first woman with a real chance against an old Jewish Democratic Socialist guy. ;-)

Also, the caucus system requires huge time commitments and NH was run during some bad weather. Turnout may pickup in SC and Super Tuesday.

I don't think lack of enthusiasm and poor turnout will be a problem come November.

We'll see.

Cheers,
Scott.
New To be expected, really.
If they really wanted Democrats to come out in support, they probably should have put forth somebody other than a Republican candidate. Bernie is ok even after acknowledging his warts, but the deck is already stacked. If they'd knock off this stupid charade and just announce who they have decided will win next November it would save a lot of wear and tear, and we could go back to watching the kabuki in congress.
Not having rioting in the streets is probably is probably a good thing from an economic point of view, but expecting actual support for this bullshit is over the top.
