Many semi-automatics can be converted.
For instance, my FN49 can be made into a machine gun by sticking a toothpick into the sear. A guy I met who had done that recommended not doing it because the action is so light it fires too fast. He said a 10 round clip goes "Boom!" and that's it.
If I buy his I could mount it in the back of the pickup
