Because you think he's wrong?

He who?
If Ahmed wanted to cause an incident, that doesn't mean that the adults needed to create on for him. The Wikipedia article seems to indicate vast over-reaction by far too many adults. Unfortunately, too often these days, the only way to get the attention of local officials is to file suit and demand a settlement. Dawkins should have kept his trap shut about it, IMO. He has no knowledge that he can bring to the story - everything he says is going to be colored by his take on reporting about it. His jumping in with an inflammatory statement like this, isn't going to help anything. It's not the first time he's gone off the deep end and discovered that he likes punching down. He's been punching down on women too. Cheers, Scott. (Who thought "The God Delusion" was a good book at the time.) |

Yes they overreacted
IMO this wasn't a story of racism, it was a story of Zero Tolerance. If the goal had been to make a point about ZT, I could get behind it. That being said, if Dawkins has developed a habit of pointing out racial hypersensitivity ... well, that's probably not such a great idea. -- Drew |
