New Someone you might want to check with
My previous employer did some nifty stuff with remote connection and administration of AS400 from Windows clients. I don't know exactly what they used, but it was secure.

You'd want to talk to [link|http://cronosys.com/staff.html|Andy Gladys].

Microsoft offers them the one thing most business people will pay any price for - the ability to say "we had no choice - everyone's doing it that way." -- [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/show?contentid=38978|Andrew Grygus]
New Prolly CA w/SSL
Even though PC5250 is really just telnet with odd key-mappings, IBM doesn't use SSH w/OS/400 that I know of. Before they [link|http://as400bks.rochester.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/v5r1/ic2924/index.htm?info/rzain/rzainrzaincapi.htm|used SSL] was used IBM had no security at all for Client Access.

Looking around, I see [link|http://javassh.org/|javassh] - does that help?
