I was ecstatic when Cujo was traded to my Leafs, but he is definitely over the hill now. I hated the Mogilny trade and time has shown I was right. I'd give 3 Mogilnies for 1 Berezin - he couldn't pass, but he could damn sure hit the net and wasn't afraid to try. I don't think I've been this disgusted with my Leafs since they wholesale traded the team - don't remember the year, but it was the year Gilmour left. I hate this. One more game in Carolina - and who the *hell* do they think they are? I bet even all you non-hockey fans can guess which name does not belong in the following list: 1) Brain Dafoe 2) Curtis Joseph 3) Dominic Hasek 4) Patrick Roy 5) Felix Potvin and .... 6) Arturs "the Flamer" Irbe (pronounced "Art-TOURS Erbay") I can't stand it. The only saving grace will be when the Wings beat the Avs and the Wings go down there to Redneck heaven and show those fsckers that hockey is a NORTHERN game, and you NASCAR assholes do not get the CUP!

Remember the Islanders couldn't do it in game 7 and the Senators couldn't do it in game 6 and 7. Now lets see if the Hurricanes can't do it in game 5, 6 and 7. I'd like to see the Leafs go all out on Tuesday icing the line of Roberts, Sundin and Mogilny for some shifts. Fuck it! I want to see a nice 5-2 score. lister

I also hope they trade Mogilny (1 point in 7 games and he deserves his salary? *I don't think so.*) So, the Hurricanes can beat us up when we're crippled (Cujo w/broken hands, Mats with a broken wrist, our best defenseman (Yushkevich) out, etc.) Big deal. I still have my number 2 team to pull for (the Wings) although it doesn't look good for them either. Still, if the Avs beat the Wings then I can always hope that Carolina's jet goes down in the Rockies and they all get killed. See - I'm a Leafs fan, and Leafs fans never give up hope.

DIA is about 35 miles ENE of the city proper, and Denver itself is about 25-30 miles east of the mountains. You can barely see the mountaintops from DIA. However, DIA is situated in what we locals call Tornado Alley, so there's still hope ;-) ----- Steve

If we had to lose then losing in game seven would have been just a little more satisfying than in game six. Oh well. My hockey watching is done until the clinching game of the finals. I'll take Mogilny over such stiffs as Hoglund and Reichel. Yeah I know Hoglund dig well in the playoffs but that doesn't make up for the fact that his regular season sucked despite almost all his playing time on the top line. Well, I don't wish death upon the Hurricane players. Maybe a good, swift and sound beating by either Colorado or Detroit. I'd prefer Colorado myself. I can't stand the thought of the Flopinator or Chelios winning the Stanley Cup. Too bad Yzerman is on the same team as them. That guy deserves a Cup win. I guess we'll find out how bad his knee is after the team is done. lister
