New Tom Magliozzi dead
Car Talk has been in reruns for a couple of years now, but I will still listen if I am driving doing Saturday errands. For years I thought Tom was the first chair brother. It took some adjusting when I learned that he was the more knuckle-headed one who couldn't remember the solution to last week's puzzler.

I'll miss the galoot.

New Re: I'll miss the galoot.
Dittos here.

I've listened to a re-run just this past week. The brothers sure knew their stuff. And being so entertaining was just a bonus.

RIP!
Alex

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

-- Isaac Asimov
New On galootness...
The inability to remember was a running gag... :-) Both of those guys are quite smart.
