here in Houston it was an the ballot.

Of course, in the case of Houston, and other cities, the voters actually do it to other people. The stadium is footed by a "Hotel and Rental Car tax", most of which is paid for by out-of-towners. It's always easier to spend someone else's money.

New Voters screw themselves when they vote in the wrong canidate
to represent them. I would guess by the polls some newspapers took in Missouri that 60% of the people would be against the new stadium being funded by tax money. If those 60% voted, they would vote the ballot out.
I am free now, to choose my own destiny.
