You might consider the refurbs
If you're looking to save some $, check out the Apple Store refurb section. I just bought a Mid-2012 15" MBP for a shade over $1100. 2.3ghz Quad-core i7, 4G RAM (Upgradeable to 16G), and 500G HD. Full warranty, and Apple Care is available on them.
