New Do the math.
The moon has an apparent diameter of 1/2 a degree. So it would take 720 moons to form a belt of barely touching moons. There are 1440 (i.e. 24 x 60) minutes in a day. So, it takes 2 minutes for the moon to move its own apparent width.
