Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Dang do-gooders again!
They always pick on something that does the least actual good, but annoys people the most - and the politicians are happy to go along because it keeps the do-gooders quiet and they can point to the annoyance as proof they're "doing something for the environment".

So, the supply of T-shirt bags has dried up since the stores can't give them out any more - and the idiots who call them "single use carry-out bags" are just stupid (well, I guess idiots are supposed to be stupid).

In some areas, immediately after the ban has gone into effect, people have reported massive increases in dog poop not being picked up. I depend on T-shirt bags for many uses because of their size and the fact they're easy to tie closed using the handles.

Incidentally, I read of a study that shows, if you use one of those yuppie style "environmentally friendly" canvas bags, you have to use it 300 times before it has less environmental cost than getting a T-shirt bag each time.

For groceries, I use the big 1.5 mil plastic bags I got from Super King for 2013 US $0.30 each. They've lasted a year and are still going strong.

But meanwhile, my supply of T-shirt bags has run out - so - I called Associated Bag and ordered a bale of 1000 bags.

Take that, do-gooders!
New I use cheap Ziplock sandwich bags for dog poo.
But, it's a small dog.

New Ditto, but for cat litter
And lunch bags for Son Number One, who will pretty much throw away anything he's given, whether it should be or not.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson.
New Plastic grocery bags are perfect for cat litter.
New even better, reusable bags are usually contaminated
New I turn mine inside out and wash them . . .
. . every time they have transported meat products.
New Welcome, fellow fanatic..
(I operate upon the principle that, you Are 'responsible' for what you Know-(pretty-much..)
I Know it's easier to toss the wettish-bag in Land-fill mix. (Know also: am lazy..)

Takes little time/1 drop detergent, put inside-out bag on porch to dry et Viola! re-USE-able.
IF.. some %huge of the 8 billions infesting this dirty overcrowded-hive were to do likewise?
We'd have very-much less to be bitchin about enddd-lessly, I wot.

Thanks for your support.

New T-Shirt bags?
No such thing at Associated Bag, that I can find.

Explain what you got... since I'm all out of them as well, since the (soon to be ex) wife is moving out in a week or so.

Thanks. (Since Associated bag has about a bahmillion different things called "bags", I could use some help)

New Re: T-Shirt bags?
Things like this - http://www.associatedbag.com/ShowProduct.aspx?ProductID=16452&CategoryID=1051

You know, the plastic grocery bags with the handles.

They're pretty-much on the way out here. They are being "taxed" at 5 ¢ a piece to encourage people to stop using them (and help keep them out of the river).

HTH.

Cheers,
Scott.
New Grocery bags... are a bit bigger.
I guess I wasn't looking that small.

New Uline's got lots.
E.g. http://www.uline.com/BL_5516/Printed-T-Shirt-Bags

Roughly 12" x 7" x 22" seems to be the 'standard' size.

I prefer these things, myself - http://stores.ebay.com/CanvasBagDealer They're 18" x 16" x 6" with long handles.

:-)

Cheers,
Scott.
(Just a CBD customer.)
New I've got about 30
Canvas bags. (Splitting even steven with the ex)

I need the standard sized bags... for everything else.
