Job interview on Tuesday.
The job is with Unisys, supporting their [link|http://www.unisys.com/hw/servers/es7000/overview.asp|ES-7000 series mainframe] to, guess who, Microsoft!
/me sighs...
I'll admit that if I get this job, my search won't stop there...

Knock their socks off!
And, do keep searching......something to be said for a port in the storm though. Been in my new gig for four whoppin' weeks now and it is NOT a good match. But, I still kept searching and am fairly close to landing something a lot better. Heh!

Unisys and Microsoft?
Good luck, it is better than not working. Believe me, not working really sucks rotten eggs.
I am free now, to choose my own destiny.

Dude.
That's not a mainframe.
That's a PC. With bells on.
Just because it's from UniSys, has 32 processors and costs twice as much as anything else, don't make it a S/390.
Good luck, anyhow :-)

Dude.
If their check don't bounce, and they want me to call a TI-99/4a a mainframe, then a TI-99/4a is a mainframe. :-)
Thanks, all, for the support. There's posterior there that wants to taste some shoe leather...

Good luck
But if you get it, don't let a steady job interfere with your getting yourself into shape...

Well... just be ready...
There's NEVER a good time to be UNprepared. Please bring along these things with you just in case: 1. Printed Copies of your Resume in case someone "Forgot" to bring thier copy. 2. Extra Pens and Pencils... incase you need to fill something out and the one you brung, breaks or they ask you for one to use. 3. Your References on a seperate sheet, just in case. 4. Crib notes on all of you "Accomplishments" or notables in AN industry you've been in. 5. A Handkerchief, for those sweaty moments, Lord knows I need one. 6. A bottle of water for n the way there, to make sure you have enough fluids in ya. 7. GOOD Directions. Make the trip a day ahead so you know what to expect. Also helps decide when to leave to be there 15 minutes early. These are good advice. I have had good experience with doing all of those. Worky really welly. Oh, you can bring these to YOURS, you are having: 1. Loaded Gun with Silver Bullets 2. Large Holy Cross (and ALOT of faith) 3. Wooden Stake 18" long 4. Garlic Necklace 5. Wolfsbane to offer to them 6. Battery Charger for neck bolts to help wake them up Anything else is up to you...
