Eat a double dose of Metamucil every day for 2 months. Metamucil (psyliium seeds I believe) is water soluble fiber. It sucks up bile. Bile is made from cholesterol. When the body loses bile, it makes more by sucking cholesterol out of your body.
Do it while on atkins and report back to your Dr. I lost 20 lbs and ate a lot of fried chicken and steak and bacon, and dropped my cholesterol as well.
