Yep, that's a lot of value to lose

And it explains the reorg last week as well.

There's no way Ballmer should keep his job after this. He should have lost it long before, after being selected as the worst CEO of the year by Forbes and all of the other mistakes. The Surface is an unmitigated disaster so far, Win8 is a mitigated disaster, and there's no reason to upgrade Office any longer.

I just realized...

Microsoft is like "The Architect" and Decisions. They are just a bunch of values of a formula to solve, nothing intuitive about Microsoft anymore. All the while Microsoft thinks everything else is a "Lesser Mind" and they all "happen" to succeed.

Really... I truly just though this through the last few days. All the evidence you need is since the early 1990s...

Meh... they really need to go and downsize... and really get rid of that one track mind.
