The high lords of astronomy have decided that Pluto wasn't really a planet. XKCD has remarked on this, http://xkcd.com/473/ , and Larry Niven had a different origin of Pluto involving a telepathic alien and had quite a lot of activity there in his various stories. None the less, Pluto is no longer an official planet. Maybe the 1 percenters re-invested Pluto in Neptune or something.
