USB plugs always go in wrong the first time. :-)

Whoever designed those things was really stupid.
No reliable way to tell which side is up or down or left or right, on either the cable or the box.

Another Intel "Innovation". :-/

There used to be.
The original USB spec said you had to put the logo on the top of the plug and orient the socket so that logo was up when you plugged it in. But they didn't police it or enforce it, so many manufacturers put their sockets any old which way.
Fortunately it was designed to be difficult to damage if you try to insert it upside-down. (I think someone at Apple got really sick of this problem and that's why they created the Lightning connector. But apart from the fact it's owned by Apple, that connector has other problems - however that's a topic for another day.) Wade. Just Add Story http://justaddstory.wordpress.com/

Entirely typical.
I wouldn't have noticed the insertion failure if you hadn't pointed it out. :-)
One thing I think the review video needs: a script! It sounded like an ad-libbed review and for an ad-libbed review it was short and to the point. But it could have been a lot tighter. I also liked it was all in one take. So many people making those stitch multiple takes together and you get jumps in the video where there really shouldn't be jumps. It's an effect that needs a critical artistic eye and too many videos lack that. Wade. Just Add Story http://justaddstory.wordpress.com/
