New Captain Cook's Monument
Round these parts, Captain Cook is a big deal. Born in Marton, lived in Great Ayton and Staithes, sailed from Whitby. Went round the world a couple of times, did a great deal of mapping and discovery, got murdered after aggravating the locals in Hawaii. Up on Easby Moor, there's a big old monument to the fellow. It's a popular spot for walkers, commanding as it does spectacular views of the Tees valley to the west and, to the south, the Cleveland Hills.

Naturally, I didn't take any pictures of the monument itself.

New My grass is at the pre- mown-for-the-summer stage,
so I Know what it takes to make putting-greens of all that flora. (Not my trip, natch.)
How can It BE that an army of field manicurists hit the mowers/all fields at, say 7 am daily?
(If there are any ... helter-skelter/uncoiffed plats ... I haven't seen a one. Have you?)

I so confused. Is this the Same Planet? IS "U.K." actually in one of those parallel dimensions
