New gop doubles down on the stupid
http://thehill.com/b...ouldnt-be-aborted
wonder what they gonna do if the fetus's gun is painted black
Any opinions expressed by me are mine alone, posted from my home computer, on my own time as a free American and do not reflect the opinions of any person or company that I have had professional relations with in the past 58 years. meep
New <sigh>
It would be nice if there was a mute button for "news" about things like this. It's fun to point and laugh occasionally, but this stuff dominates too much of the discussion. It's an example of how Twitter is making news stupider.

Why should we care if a politician (or more likely a politician's staff person) posts something provocatively stupid in 140 characters? Why does MSNBC insist on spending (what seems like) 20% (or more) of its evening shows covering things like this? Didn't anything important happen in the world in the previous 24 hours?

If that's what they're going to keep doing, they might as well fire all the people who work there and just clone BuzzFeed on their channel or web site - http://www.businessw...-the-facebook-era

<sigh>

Cheers,
Scott.
New doesnt faux news and the maddow show do that already?

New Here's the Real answer to that bumpersticker:
[Since.. oh, say ... early '60s]

It comes from an essay entitled IIRC, Zyklon-B--probably a variation on the Nazi extermination form of Cyanogen-bromide.

If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a Sacrament.

Iy is All ye Need to know on the topic.
New It was also made popular by Gloria Steinem.
Apparently the quote is from Florynce Kennedy in a book from 1971 - http://en.wikipedia...._Kennedy#Activism

It's associated with Gloria Steinem in my mind as a result of video of a speech/interview with her - http://en.wikipedia...._Steinem#Abortion It was recently in "Makers" on PBS - http://www.pbs.org/makers/home/

Cheers,
Scott.

New Thx; methinks it deserves to be repeated. Frequently--now.
My S.O. du jour was a fan.. 'twas her copy of Zyklon, whence it came into moi's permanent vocab.
Men be such hypocrites universally, probably think it's Normal to be such. Put them in Robes, too and ... ...
