Another MS Aquisition In The Works

According to [link|http://www.theregus.com/content/7/24812.html|The Register] and [link|http://news.ft.com/ft/gx.cgi/ftc?pagename=View&c=Article&cid=FT39G0DYM0D|this article], MS plans on buying [link|http://www.navision.com/hq/|Navision] for $1.2 billion. Navision supplies software similar to Great Plains, but primarily in the EU. (Actually they appear to have more ERP type software too. Wasn't Great Plains primarily Accounting and CRM?)

A quote from that ft.com article:

Microsoft is expected to accelerate its programme of acquisitions in coming months. During the quarter ended March 31, it generated $4bn in free cash-flow, and had $39bn of cash and equivalents on its balance sheet.

According to The Register and this article, MS plans on buying Navision for $1.2 billion. Navision supplies software similar to Great Plains, but primarily in the EU. A quote from that ft.com article: Microsoft is expected to accelerate its programme of acquisitions in coming months. During the quarter ended March 31, it generated $4bn in free cash-flow, and had $39bn of cash and equivalents on its balance sheet.
