for most Eagle is a Do or Die kind of thing. They learn purty dern quick to eat quickly.
A young one being under a year old does take a few months of hunting and eating on their own to get up to speed and what objects to avoid.
Case in point 2 Decorah, Iowa fledges died from touching electrical wires on telephone poles. The one that was "tagged" with a radio beacon was getting to be a pro at eating. A few days before its death, they filmed it eating a full grown rabbit in about 15 minutes.
