Benghazi Scandalmongering Takes a Hit Today
David Petraeus, late of the CIA, testified today before the Senate. [...]
What? You mean it's a manufactured controversy? Unpossible!!! </snark>
Cheers,
Scott.
Will McCain and Graham now back down?
I wouldn't count on it. They're too busy being on TV.

Not even after this
http://thinkprogress...libya-statements/ "Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from." -- E.L. Doctorow |

So, let's get this straight...
The same intelligence community that signed off on WMDs in Iraq has been so GREATLY improved -- under Obama-- that they should be able to determine that an attack on an embassy was really a 9/11 inspired attack rather than a inspired by a film....
...in less than 4 days. And THAT is what Republicans want us to believe? |
|
Re: THAT is what Republicans want us to believe?
Yes. Because, you know, well, Black. Get it?
|
|
Not sure that's it in this case.
True, a lot of them can't tolerate a black guy in the White House, but I would guess the issue is more fundamental. He's not a Republican. So they attack. Bill Clinton was a moderate republican with a D after his name, so they attacked him incessantly. Obama is less moderate, but he's still got that D affiliation so bark, bark, bark... They can't help themselves. They are operating at a herd beast level. Once they get one of their own back in, everything will be OK again. They will still be competing with Holsteins at an intellectual level, but that's sorta normal.

Re: Once they get one of their own back in
Um, I think that's what's really pissing them off. It was bad enough when Clinton (a White Guy) was a better Republican than they could field got into power , but seriously, a Black Guy, whose a better Republican than they can field? Jeebus, their heads must be spinning off!
