Ding, we have a winnah!
13.5 hours before someone noticed... :-)
I found the images in a backup folder in a source code directory on a backup volume on my home machine.
Also they were in a locked filing cabinet in a disused lavatory in the basement. But the stairs were out.

Wait a minute!
Progress:
Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-eight million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue-green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.
Kids these days don't wear watches of any kind. Why would they need to, since they always have their phones on them? Those of us old-timers who still like watches tend to go for hands. If you're going to be anachronistic, might as well be stylish about it. (Right, Peter?)
Does this mean we won't be demolished to make way for that interstellar bypass now?

"Kids these days don't wear watches"?!? Of course they do!
Kids these days have reverted to the habits of their great-(great-?)grandfathers, and are wearing pocket watches. Not on vest-pocket chains, and also good for making phone calls and posting "Instagrams" and "tweets" and whatnot...
But most of the time, these devices are in their owners' pockets, and all of them tell the time, usually as (at least a significant part of) their default display: They're arguably pocket watches.
