As to what 'God' Wants - there are ~8 billion individual ideas of what She might Want. Let's not ask Any of them - OK?

As to the couple and.. the deaf culture - if one pulls back a little from our individual and automatic idea that "everyone's pretty much like me", maybe it isn't so obvious that this was some hideous decison. Maybe merely a strange one, unappreciated by / incapable of being understood by those who have always 'heard'. If it's selfish to want to maintain the habits & peculiarities of one's Tribe, then how in fact have these folks done much differently than say... those who practise -

the patently religious ritual of circumcision - affecting the sensitivity of the glans penis forever; possibly resulting in the kinds of manic over-stimulation required of the sensory-deprived = that which might even account for the absence of actual erotica in Murica! (for one) and explain - the infantile level of that crap which passes for porn.

Deaf? Screwed-up sex organs? Which is Worse? (see, we didn't even have to get to female mutilation and the fearfully-inadequate wacko-males who would prescribe such)
