Country Wide was our first mortgagee and then Bank of America (shudder)... and it looks like Fannie Mae was sold our NEVER BEEN LATE AND IN FACT YEARS AHEAD Loan on this last $500M purchase Fannie Mae made from BoA. Nice. we owe significantly less than $10K.

Your loan, because it's probably AAA rated, has already been pooled with others, chopped up, and sold to offshore investors in some sort of mortgage-backed security. Not to worry, look forward to paying it off! I'm in a similar boat (years ahead).
