![]() I've noticed that the automatic update manager wants to re-install the 2.6.32-33 kernel for the third time. Are they modifying the kernel without changing the numbers or is the update manager squirrelly? The only reason I notice this is because I keep having to modify my menu.lst.

![]() AFAIK, Ubuntu use the Debian packaging system unchanged, apart from their own repositories.
My first instinct is to ask if you're using a /boot partition and if so, is it a bit short on space. I got similar errors on another box when /boot was too small. Wade. Static Scribblings http://staticsan.blogspot.com/

![]() I just deleted all the .24 images that were hanging around. That should free up some room if that was a problem. Thanks for the thought.
